Halloween Clan LAN Party hosted by 8-Bit Brigade Recap
This Halloween was the most fun I have had on Halloween in years. One of the big reasons why is because of the Clan LAN party or C-LAN Party I went to hosted by one of CE United’s good clan friends 8-Bit Brigade. But I will get to the C-LAN Party a little later seeing as how it took place 1 day after Halloween; I need to recap the whole weekend to give you a better idea of how much fun it was. For Halloween we took ElleDT and S4iNT’s little niece out trick or treating, before that though we had to go out and get our costumes to get in the spirit of Halloween for their niece.
How can you say no to this face when they want to go trick or treating?
I hadn’t dressed up for Halloween in forever let alone do anything on Halloween, originally I was going to go as McLovin but I couldn’t find a brown vest. Then I kind of wanted to go as Master Chief, but when I finally tried on the costume it sucked all the armor on the costume was bent and looked like crap. So we stumbled upon this costume and well I ended up buying it.

While trick or treating he would threaten to arrest parents not in costume, one old lady said she would wear a bath towel next year and asked if that was okay me and F0X both laughed and agreed that would be fine.
Scooby and the whole gang well sort of.
After trick or treating me and S4iNT or should I say Fred AKA Hilary Clinton passed out candy and it was a lot of fun.
So with a full nights rest after all the trick or treating and candy eating, it was off to Howell Michigan for the Clan party/LAN party festivities to begin. This was not just a C-LAN party it was also the first time we got to meet other members of CE United that we hadn’t already met in person before. As was the same for 8-Bit Brigade with meeting Jennos and Mendicantbias for the first time in person.
Before I get ahead of myself I guess I should name off the gamers who were there at the LAN and a little info on it. It was hosted by and held at the house of 8-Bit Brigade’s very own CzarCastic one of the four leaders of 8BB.

Now that that’s out of the way I can talk about all that went down at the Clan LAN party. All the CE United members got there roughly at the same time, with a few of them waiting outside for me no surprise there. So we all walk up to the door not knowing what awaits us on the other side of the door, some crazy hobo? Or maybe the wrong address? Your guess is as good as mine. But I was wrong it wasn’t the house of some crazy hobo, we were graciously welcomed by a hand full of 8-Bit Brigade members.
We walked into a living room full of fellow gamers. What do I see? They are loading up the New Xbox Experience; Jalth got early access to it by signing up online. I am so jealous I didn’t get picked and I signed up as well, oh well.

November 14th 2008 I am no longer jealous at Jalth because I to got early access today.
So we say our hellos for the first time in person, unload our gaming gear and plug in.
We fire up Halo 3 and play some very weird but very fun game types. The First game is a King of the Hill on Narrows where the hill is between the man cannon, and the only way to get to the hill is to take the man cannon, this made for some funny moments. To top it all off you lost time if you were not in the hill so this made it even more crazy, cause you would have whole teams going through it at a time pushing anyone who would go through by themselves. In the end after the first game of Halo 3 I ended up as MVP.
Some of the other games we played were sharks on Last Resort which is like zombies but you are always in the water and you have to kill the people who spawn in the water. Again I sort of ended up on top, I lost the sharks game but I was the only one to get a Killamanjaro. We also played a game on Sand trap where you only got points by getting an assist kill, it was slow going by we final figured out that the best way to do this was to drive someone on a mongoose.
After awhile the Halo 3 buzz wore off and we busted out some Rock Band 2. This was my first time playing Rock Band 2 but a few other members of CE United had never played any Rock Band game before.
Rock Band 2 was fun and with Czar’s set up in his basement… WOW his set up is a gamers dream down there. Our very own Destroyer of Worlds Theory, he wanted to take his gaming to the extreme and play 2 video games at once. I kid you not Theory sang a full song all the way through on Rock Band with 3 of us playing drums, guitar and bass, while he played Halo 3. We did not fail the song we got all the way through it and I think he even got an 86% on the song.
After the epic Rock Band 2 moments wow I can’t believe I just said that, but if you were there you would call what Theory did it epic to. We played a little foosball a little more Halo 3; shared some stories then we started to wind down for the night.
This LAN party was a little short compared to the 5a.m LAN parties we used to have with some of our former members of CE United. Just because it was short doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun this Clan Party was a blast even if SookhaiKid wanted to put Czar’s cat on the foosball table.
I just really want to thank Czar and his wife KelBel for inviting CE United into their home for an evening of gaming as well 8-Bit Brigade for being our clan buddies. It not only gave us a chance to meet fellow CE United members for the first time, but a chance to meet other fellow gamers who share a passion of gaming.
One final note Jennos gets the award for most distance traveled to attend the Clan LAN party.
